Elizabeth Garcia

Board Member 

Born and raised in Odessa, Texas, Elizabeth Garcia serves her community daily through her meaningful work as a caseworker with a local non-profit, PermiaCare. 

While she dedicates her career to supporting people, her passion for helping extends into the animal world—an inspiration that truly began with her beloved dog, Luna.

Luna, a black Pit Bull/German Shepherd mix, was Elizabeth’s first large-breed dog. Raising and loving Luna has been a profoundly eye-opening experience that completely opened Elizabeth’s heart to all animals. Today, her mission is to care for and protect as many animals that crosses her path as she can.

In her free time, Elizabeth actively volunteers with local animal shelters and dedicatedly feeds and cares for the stray cats in her neighborhood. 
She is thrilled to bring her love for animals to the Midland Humane Coalition, where she looks forward to contributing to the mission as an active Board Member and beginning her own journey as a  pet foster.

When she isn't surrounded by animals, Elizabeth loves to stay active by running, traveling, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
