Howdy, partners! The 7th Annual Hot Dog Run - 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk will be on May 8, 2021.

This unique, dog-friendly race allows race participants to run or walk alongside their four-legged sidekicks.

Hot Dog Run is designed to be a fun-filled experience for people from all walks of life - from running & fitness enthusiasts, pet lovers, families and kids, to dogs of all breeds and sizes!

NEW THIS YEAR - BEST OF THE WEST WEEKEND! This year, we’re partnering up with the Bush Tennis Center and joining their exciting lineup of events for the BEST OF THE WEST Weekend. Hence, the theme of this year’s Hot Dog Run logo.

The Best of the West Weekend will feature: a tennis tournament, golf tournament, BBQ cook off and Pat Green concert. Pat Green concert tickets will be FREE to the first 300 Hot Dog Run registered runners.

WHY JOIN HOT DOG RUN?
Hot Dog Run is one of Midland Humane Coalition’s biggest fundraisers each year. It raises important funds that fuel our operations at the Adoption Center. MHC’s mission is to rescue healthy, adoptable pets from euthanasia and find them furr-ever homes. The more funds raised, the more animals we can save!

Also, it's great fun! Join hundreds of people and dogs! There's also a Pet Costume Competition after the races, so mosey on down in your best matching attires if you're so inclined.

Here is what you can expect on the day of Hot Dog Run!

7:00 AM - Registration opens
8:00 AM - 5K begins
8:05 AM - 1 Mile begins
8:45 AM - Breakfast is served compliments of Texas Roadhouse (for all participants & volunteers)
9:00 AM - Awards
9:30 AM - Costume Competition begins

*All Dogs must be leashed and vaccinated. Please keep your dogs by your side at all times, keep retractable leashes locked and clean up after your pet.

Participants will receive race packets with race t-shirt(optional add-on), swag and custom-designed race finishers medal.
Trophies awarded to Male overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Female overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd for the 5K and a medal goes to the FASTEST DOG IN THE WEST!!!
