Cross the finish line dressed up as your favorite character (space-themed or whatever you prefer - sky's the limit!) and join the pet costume competition right after the race.

HOT DOG RUN... BECAUSE IT'S FUN

Hot Dog Run is Midland’s favorite dog-friendly race that allows participants to run/walk with their four-legged best friends! People and pets of all ages, sizes and breeds come together each year for a fun event to help save the lives of Midland’s homeless cats & dogs.

On its 11th year, Hot Dog Run has been gaining momentum since it started in 2015, averaging 350-400 participants (and their dogs).

WHY SUPPORT HOT DOG RUN?
Hot Dog Run is an important fundraiser for Midland Humane Coalition, helping us rescue our community’s homeless cats & dogs and give them a second chance to find forever homes.

Each year, we rescue an average of 400-500 pets from various desperate situations and give them a lifeline. The more funds we raise, the more cats & dogs we can save!

RACE DAY SCHEDULE
7:30 AM - Registration opens
8:30 AM - 5K begins
8:35 AM - 1 Mile begins
9:00 AM - Awards
9:30 AM - Pet Costume Competition begins

*All Dogs must be leashed and vaccinated. Please keep your dogs by your side at all times, keep retractable leashes locked and clean up after your pet.

FAQs

Can my kids join hot dog run?

Kids of all ages are encouraged to join! Hot Dog Run is a wonderful wholesome activity for the whole family. The 1 Mile is the perfect distance for younger participants.

CAN I BRING A STROLLER FOR MY KID/DOG?

Some participants opt to push strollers so their little kids and smaller and mobility challenged dogs can participate.

CAN I JOIN HOT DOG RUN WITHOUT A DOG?

Absolutely!

DO I HAVE TO WEAR A COSTUME TO RUN?

We encourage participants to wear a costume for their own enjoyment. However, it is not mandatory. Dress comfortably as you please. Bear in mind there is a Pet Costume Competition right after the race, which is loads of fun!
