Courtni Pyle

Courtni is one of our most active and dedicated volunteers - whatever MHC needs, she's always happy to help with a smile on her face!  Chalk it up to her passion for animals!  You  have probably seen her cheerful face at one of our events.  She and her husband DJ are part of a small team responsible for making those monthly Microchip Clinics at Beer Garden possible.

Thank you so much, Courtni!

MHC Volunteer since: Since 2016

Volunteer position/s?
I started volunteering in 2016 when I first volunteered the help coordinate the Hot Dog Run.
I have helped with the Hot Dog Run, the Fur Ball, shot clinics, fostering, and I run the chip clinics at Yappy Hour. Anytime I go into PetSmart, I stop by and love on some of the babies!

Fun Facts:
I am a native Midlander and I currently work at Keller Williams. I don't have much time for hobbies outside of work and volunteering, but I love reading when I can.

Got pets?
My husband and I have 4 dogs, but we regularly foster for local rescues.

Why do you volunteer with MHC? What motivates you to stay involved?
I have a passion for animals and I think education is so important. I really love interacting with the community and teaching them about all the resources that are available.

In your opinion, what is the most important work that this organization does?
I love the emphasis on community involvement and what we can offer the people of Midland with our low cost clinics.

Has volunteering with MHC had a positive impact on your life?  Tell us about a time/incident  that was especially meaningful for you while volunteering with MHC.
I scan dogs regularly, and I love it when I can talk to people about our shot clinics, then I see them at the next one! It helps me know that a simple conversation can change the life of a pet!

If you could encourage someone else to volunteer with MHC, what would you tell them?
It only takes 1 or 2 days a month if you volunteer for the same events regularly. 1 or 2 days to make such a huge impact!

What is your favorite thing about volunteering with MHC?
I really love the opportunity to educate and work with the community. It is amazing knowing that we are helping families.
